Services & Payment
Therapy with me typically involves three types of sessions:
-
Initial Consultation (30 minutes)
-
Assessment and Planning (90 minutes)
-
Therapy Sessions (60 minutes)
It’s important to feel comfortable with your therapist. For this reason, I offer a free 30 minute initial consultation to help you decide whether I am the right fit for you. Call or e-mail me to schedule a free consultation.
If you decide to work with me, we’ll schedule a 90 minute Assessment and Planning meeting, at my office. That meeting is focused on learning more about you and what brought you to therapy. We’ll also begin putting together a plan for therapy.
Following the assessment meeting, we’ll decide when and how often to meet. Therapy sessions are 60 minutes long and are guided by the plan we developed together. Typically I meet with people once a week or every 2 weeks.
Payment Options
There are three options for payment:
-
In-Network Insurance
-
Out-of-Network Insurance
If you have another insurance provider, you may have out-of-network benefits. Often these benefits cover the majority of the cost of therapy. I recommend calling your insurance provider to learn more about your out-of-network benefits. I can also refer you for additional assistance determining your out-of-network benefits.
-
Private Pay
If you don't have coverage, or choose not to use your insurance, then you can pay the full fees directly to me.
I am in-network for Johns Hopkins Health Care plans (EHP and USFHP) and Medicare. This means that if you are enrolled in any of these plans, your out-of-pocket expense is limited to your deductible and copay/coinsurance. I can assist in determining what these costs will be.
